Who we are
SūryaVeda ("we", "us") is a Vedic astrology service that casts birth charts and shares readings based on classical Jyotish rules. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled.
What we collect
- Birth details you enter: name, date and time of birth, place of birth, and the optional phone number or email you share so our Acharyas can reach you.
- Account details at sign-up: your name, email address and phone number, and how many times you have signed in. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email your Google account shares.
- Chat messages: what you ask the automated Acharya Arya assistant. Your conversation stays on your own device and is automatically removed after 7 days.
- Requests you send us: the details on the astrologer connection form and the "notify me" form.
- Basic technical information: such as device type and sign-in events, to keep the service working and secure.
We never collect or store passwords anywhere we can see them — passwords are handled only by the sign-in system. We do not collect your UPI IDs or card numbers.
Why we use it
- To cast your Kundali and personalise your readings, forecasts and muhurat timings.
- To create and manage your account and remember you between visits.
- To answer your questions through the automated assistant and, where you asked, to connect you with an astrologer.
- To process subscriptions and contact you about your account or a request you sent.
Where it is stored
Your information is kept in our service's secure database. For running the service, account details, birth details, astrologer requests and waitlist sign-ups are also saved to a private spreadsheet controlled by the SūryaVeda team. Access to that spreadsheet is restricted to the team.
Services we rely on
- Sign-in services: email sign-in and Google sign-in to identify your account.
- The automated assistant: your chat messages and your chart details are sent to an automated language service to generate your answers; your messages are not shared with other users.
- Voice features: if you speak or listen in chat, short audio is sent to a speech service for transcription or narration.
- Payments: subscriptions are processed by a licensed Indian payment gateway. The gateway handles your payment details; we only learn that a payment succeeded.
How long we keep it
Chat conversations stay on your device for 7 days and are then removed automatically. Account, birth-details and payment-status records are kept while your account is active so your chart and readings stay available. Astrologer requests and waitlist entries are kept until they are handled.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to correct or delete your account and the personal details connected to it. Because a chart is cast from your birth details, deleting them also removes your saved Kundali.
Children
SūryaVeda is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and accounts created for children should be managed by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
